Current Role: IT Specialist / System Administrator

In my role as IT Specialist, I oversee the full spectrum of IT operations for the organization, ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient technology infrastructure that supports business goals and productivity.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and maintaining core IT systems — including operating systems, servers, email platforms, security tools, applications, laptops, desktops, and both hardware and software ecosystems.
  • Handling mission-critical systems administration and business-essential IT tasks to minimize downtime and maximize uptime.
  • Leading major IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations, updates, and outage resolution — defining scopes, timelines, and successful delivery.
  • Analyzing organizational needs, identifying security vulnerabilities, and implementing improvements to drive productivity, efficiency, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Developing and enforcing IT policies, best practices, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and comprehensive Information Technology Security frameworks.
  • Designing and maintaining disaster recovery procedures, robust data backup strategies, and business continuity plans.
  • Managing the IT budget — tracking allocations, optimizing spend, and ensuring cost-effective technology investments.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving complex hardware, software, and network issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Safeguarding data integrity, network access controls, backup reliability, and overall information security.
  • Owning Apple device management across iOS and macOS platforms using Jamf Pro as the primary MDM solution:
    • Deploying software, pushing OS updates, configuring policies, and enforcing MDM profiles.
    • Maintaining and optimizing the Jamf Pro infrastructure.
    • Creating and updating standard operating procedures for Apple fleet management.
  • Implementing patch management strategies to maintain device compliance and security posture.
  • Installing and rolling out new hardware/software upgrades across the environment.
  • Conducting regular system audits, verifying implementation outcomes, assessing results, and remediating identified issues.
  • Supporting ongoing compliance with key security frameworks including SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
  • Researching and evaluating emerging technologies, hardware, and software to keep our environment forward-looking and competitive.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory tracking for all hardware assets, software licenses, and subscriptions.
  • Performing additional duties as required to support evolving company needs.

This role allows me to blend hands-on technical expertise (especially in Apple ecosystems and Jamf Pro) with strategic oversight, security focus, and project leadership — all while keeping operations smooth, secure, and scalable.
